Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!

I'm reading Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice by Maureen McCormick.

I'm only about fifty pages in but it is fascinating and quite sad at the same time. Who knew behind the happy face of Marcia Brady that Maureen McCormick was so unhappy and full of self doubt. Maureen is pretty blunt in her story telling, frankly recounting the life behind the Brady Bunch for her personally. When I finish I will give a more proper review for you all, but I do recommend the book.

(You can find it at Barnes & Noble in the bargain books currently for $5.98.)

Happy Birthday, Kayleigh!!!

Happy Big TWO to Kayleigh!!

Isn't she the cutest pirate you ever saw?

Why did I not know these guys were on tv?

I LOVE the penguins from "Madagascar" and their devious ways! I am going to have to check the schedule on Nickelodeon so I can watch it!

Have you been "twitter"pated yet?

Last year, my friend, Nicole, told me that she thought I should try out this new website she had just gotten interested in. That site was Twitter. The thing that I love most about MySpace and Facebook is the little status updates and that is all Twitter is...you can only do status updates. Oh, you know I joined.

You can "follow" me here if you want.

Twitter is like a voyeuristic trip into someone's life. There are some interesting people on Twitter and "following" them is never a dull moment...

Ashton Kutcher and his wife, Demi Moore, have taken Twitter to a whole new level as they have made Twitter mainstream and they pop on frequently to update and have conversations with people throughout the day.

Soleil Moon Frye (Punky Brewster) keeps it fun with quirky questions of the day and then keeps it real with all her talk of her family. John Mayer is just all kinds of cool. Three of my favorite authors/blog writers are also there - Jen Lancaster, Stephanie Klein, and Karyn Bosnak.

How about you? Have you been bitten by the tweet bug yet?

Spring is here!

Spring has sprung! It is bringing the blooming of the ugly little yellow flowers that drive my sinuses NUTS! And it is lovely outside most days with a light breeze. Spring & Autumn are my favorite seasons. Definitely preferable to the ugly heat of summer in Phoenix.

I started my new job last Tuesday. It is definitely interesting. I do really miss the old company and my co-workers as they are more friendly. But I'm fitting in very well with the new job and I am sure I will like it more when I get the hang of it all.

My friend, Rose, and her mother, Lucretia, were in town on Tuesday & Wednesday. It had been a few years since I had last got to spend time with Ro so it was great to have her here with us! She is talking about coming back out in September PLUS contemplating a move to AZ (to Tucson) so that would be awesome!!

I have done a couple of interviews with some of the actors that I am friends with and am going to post those up over the next couple of weeks as well. I just wanted to hone some writing skills and thought it would be fun to interview them. I hope you like them as well.

And this is a nonstop occurence in our house...

Molly wants to play with Tyson's tail.
Tyson (and his tail) are not impressed.
Note the sprawling out spread eagle stance of Molly...

What happens in our home on a Friday night...

Molly still tries to be good friends with Tyson and his amazing tail.
Tyson still has grouch face with her, but we all know he loves it.

Molly is definitely a chunky butt!

Jeremy decided to try a new career last night...I think this one is a keeper.

Love, Laugh, Listen, Appreciate, Apologize, Forgive, Forget

A friend posted this and I think it is something we all could remember...

When was the last time you told EVERYONE that matters in your life that you LOVE them?

When was the last time you laughed so hard you peed a little?

When was the last time you actually listened to someone ?

When was the last time you told someone how much you appreciated the little things?

When was the last time you apologized, and meant it?

When was the last time you actually forgave someone, and forgot?

Life is to short to not partake in any of these simple actions..Before you know it someone is gone and you missed your chance.

Take the time to perform each one of these actions everyday..before you can't.

The lingerie industry just got completely affordable.

No more having to buy bras in many colors just so you don't have to worry about your bra showing through your clothes!

Doodlebra is the answer!!

Liz thinks we need to have a doodlebra party.

Time Suck!

Facebook. Twitter. Blogger. Live Journal.

These are total time sucks for me. I can say I'm only going to be on line for a couple of minutes but go to any of these places and I guarantee a good hour can pass without me even noticing it because I'm so busy clicking on links and reading. I love it, though. It keeps me connected to my family & friends. I have started to drift from the message boards, which is fine as those are another time suck. I love that over the last couple of weeks numerous high school friends and family members have formed a bit of reconnect over on Facebook. It reminds me of how blessed I am to have some truly amazing people in my life.

I tried to put some structure to my blog as I thought maybe it would help me post daily if I had something that I was thinking of doing. But I think that structuring the blog just doesn't work well for me...I think a more free-for-all blogging is going to be happening. I do have to warn everyone that I do talk a lot about movies, music, television, and celebrity. It is who I am. I have a paper journal where I record my thoughts and feelings...This blog will probably get some of the same as well.

So now my big news...I got a new job!! *snoopy dancing ensues*

I start my job on March 17th, the day after I return from my quick CA vacation with Mala. I'm going to be doing data entry/ A/P for a large corporate type construction company. This company is the largest construction company in the world and they are thankfully not having financial difficulties. I have not told my current job yet and will only give them a weeks notice, even though I will not be there for three of the days. I feel bad giving them such little notice, but then again, we really have nothing to do and they are scrambling to find work for us. I look at it this way -- I am saving someone's job by leaving because it is coming soon over there, the need to lay another person off. Nontheless, I am so excited for this new job opportunity and can not wait to get settled in to the new job.

New look...new things happening...

Stay tuned...I'll be back later today with an update.

I love Facebook!

I am a Facebook addict. I admit this freely!
I have reconnected with family on there...from both sides. And today I am reconnecting with those I went to school with in Turkey on there.
Good times! <3

My Facebook if you want to friend me.
