RIP Zen 32!

Very sad that my fave sushi restaurant closed their doors!

Tina and I (with Abby along for the adventure) tried out a new sushi restaurant today, Moto.

It wasn't too bad, but it was definitely not Zen 32! I had the Kalifornia roll (krab, cucumber, and avocado) and the tootsie roll (crab and cucumber inside, tempura outside). The tootsie roll was excellent..the Kalifornia was okay. The waitress was nice, they were quick with the service. It just wasn't Zen!

Smell like a monster...

I'm sorry...this just amuses me a lot!

Bad Blogger!

I’m so sad at how bad I am at blogging lately. I love writing, but have not felt in the proverbial blogging zone lately. I tried to put a structured schedule to my blog, but I rebelled against it. (Yes, only I could rebel against my own mind.) I tried to just blog random things each day, but the randomness well in my head started to run dry. (And that says something, my mind is a constant jumble of chatter.) But I’m here! And I’m way behind on catching up on everyone’s blogs so you may get some random comments out of me on older stuff over the next few days.

Shelley sent me this link yesterday Trick or Treat Disney Style.

Holy cupcakes! Holy sweets!! I want to go to Disney World and have a Mickey cupcake!

If I had known that I would get this kind of response: Johnny Depp's surprise visit to a London school as Captain Jack, I would have wrote a letter to Han Solo as a kid. I love that Johnny Depp, what a guy! And how exciting for that school. Can you imagine what they thought when Captain Jack Sparrow walked in?

Do any of you get the Neiman Marcus Christmas book? I love seeing the fantasy items they have. Such as the Edible Gingerbread Playhouse by Dylan's Candy Bar.

Or maybe the Tory Burch Family Chariot Electric Tricycle

(I do love the cover of the Christmas catalog…so sweet.)

What’s everyone up to for the weekend? Anyone have big plans? Up to mischief? I have a blog entry that I need to work on this weekend to post. My best friend is a paranormal investigator and for the spooktacular month of October did an interview with me. Can't wait for you all to read it. :)

Spooktacular October is here!

Fall has arrived!!

I left work yesterday and you could smell the rain in the air and we had a bit of a downpour before I got home.

This morning it just had that gorgeous Fall feeling out there. It is bliss!

I’m ready to get all the Halloween decorations out and decorate. I had seriously considered if I would bring any of my Halloween stuff to work and decorate my cubicle for the Halloween contest that is being held the week of October 25th. But decided against it. They seem to only allow you to use skeletons and spider web. Uh, yeah…I have ghosts and goblins. Witches and witchy stuff. Spiders, bats, and black cats. Vampires, mummies, and werewolves. I don’t want to just decorate with skeletons and spider webs. That is boring.

Though I will admit that my Halloween decorations are for the most part very cute things…I don’t like the overly spooky stuff. I would give myself the heebie jeebies.

But YAY for Halloween!!! Next to Christmas, this is my favorite holiday to decorate for. And I plan to celebrate the spooky all month long on my blog so get ready!

I won! I won!

If you haven't visited the fabulous Chick Lit is not Dead site run by Liz and Lisa, you are missing out! They feature fun interviews with some of the best chick lit authors out there and many up and coming chick lit authors. And they host awesome giveaways of the books that they are featuring.

A couple of weeks ago, they had a fun bucket list interview with Belinda Carlisle, former lead singer of the Go-Go's. Five commenters on the interview were going to win a copy of Belinda's autobiography, Lips Unsealed.

And I won!!

I won!
I won!
I won!

I just got the book in the mail on Friday from Random House and I can't wait to start reading it! (As soon as I finish the Sookie Stackhouse novel that I am almost done with!)

Thank you, Liz and Lisa!!

(Follow Chick Lit is not Dead on Facebook for all kinds of fun!)

Grilled cheese for the win!

While going through a catch up of blogs today, I got to Sarah Grace McCandless' blog "Fortunate Cookie" and saw this link:

The Grilled Cheese Grill!!

Guys! Seriously! A grilled cheese restaurant!! \o/

Honestly, I had a thought once if I ever was to open a restaurant, it would be a grilled cheese restaurant. Can you imagine how awesome it would be?

(And if you want a fun blog, definitely check out Fortunate Cookie. It is fabulous!)

Bueller...Bueller...Bueller

I am in serious need of having a Ferris Bueller sized hooky day from work!

I think that work is making me psychologically sick. No, seriously. I get up in the morning and start driving to work, feeling great. I pull in the parking lot and the clammy feeling starts. By lunch, I am chilled to the bone (okay, part of this is because the a/c runs all the freakin' time and there is an air duct HOLE above my head that blows cold air on me). By 2:00 I generally have a headache and feel sick to my stomach. Come 3:45 I get in my car and start to feel better as I drive away.

I have never been as sick as often as I have in the year and a half I have worked there. It sucks. And this is why I need a Ferris Bueller day off of work...and a new job!
